It's no secret, if you've been with us for a long time or just joined us recently, our love for flat lays runs deep.
To be honest, it makes us a little sad that Instagram no longer 'pushes' photo-style material which, in turn, makes our beloved flat lays visible to fewer and fewer of our followers.
Does this affect us? Absolutely. Are we going to stop taking flat lay outfit photos and posting them? Absolutely not.
Why do we love them so much?
- Flat lays are a great way to showcase pieces that work well together. Since our entire shop is, currently, solely online it's difficult for some people to imagine how the pieces might look together. With flat lays, they're able to see the outfit 'in action.'
- They help to show off overlooked inventory. Often items that have been sitting on the website for a LONG time sell as soon as we put them in a flat lay photo.
- They allow us to be creative and do the thing we REALLY love to do - create outfits from secondhand and sustainable clothing. That's why we're here.
- With flat lays, we can break down cost per piece, cost per outfit, and also showcase how to style those items (that will, most likely, also blend well with a lot of other pieces in yours or your kiddo's wardrobes.)
