How it Works

  • Become a Member

    We offer three membership options which enable you to borrow up to 5 items at a time and exchange every two weeks.

    One Month $45

    Three Months $40 ($120 upfront)

    Six Months $35 ($210 upfront)

    One box of toys can be worth over $300!

  • Check Out & Pick Up

    Begin by choosing up to 5 items for your box.

    Your items will be cleaned and packed for you to pick up at one of our two Red Deer locations (Michener Hill or our boutique location - North Red Deer)

  • Pack Up & Return

    Once you're done playing with your items, pack everything up (check that you have all the pieces) and exchange them for the next items that spark your interest.

Can memberships be paused?

No, memberships cannot be refunded or paused.
What happens if I break or lose a toy?

If an item is damaged, lost and/or we no longer able to lend out the item, it is considered ‘broken’ and you have the following options:

  • You can source a new part or item yourself to replace the missing/damaged item (we’re fine with secondhand items for this if they’re in great condition.)
  • You pay us the value (-10%) to replace the item
  • If the item is still in usable condition and will work for our library, no harm done!

*It is up to the discretion of our librarians if an item is deemed broken/unusable.  We strive to supply families with high quality toys, therefore something you would still play with in your house (even if broken or missing pieces) may not be up to the standard of toys we provide.

We never lend out items we wouldn't want our children to play with. Click here to see our full cleaning policy.
Do you purchase preloved toys?

Yes! Please email us at reddeertoylibrary@gmail.com to discuss your items and get a list of our preferred brands and items.
